Story
Arko Tharkor Group Ltd is a family run property development company based in Bristol with a vision to build affordable but luxury accommodation for our clients.
Frank Arko-Tharkor is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with 20+ years professional experience in Construction and Civil Engineering Sector. His specialties include Construction Management, Cost Control, Cost and Value Engineering, Procurement, Commercial Management, Contract Management and Contract Law. He holds MSc in Construction Management and Construction Law from the University of Birmingham and University of West of England respectively. He is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

From a humble background in a small town in Abesim - Sunyani, Ghana to England, he has managed construction projects from building residential dwellings with Taylor Woodrow - building residential developments for corporate clients, through heavy civils with Cross Rail to managing multimillion mega projects on the Hinkley Point C project in helping Britain achieve carbon net zero.

He is passionate about inspiring the next generation to believing in their God-given talent. Nothing is impossible. And as his mentor Jim Rohn says “You cannot change your destination overnight, but you can change your direction overnight.”
His passion has now translated into managing his family's residential property development business.

Frank is a Board Member of Bristol Museum, Founder of Black Professionals Network (BPN) and he sits on the Bristol Property Awards Panel. He is a proud member of the 5am club, enjoys exercising, watching Formula 1 and spending time with his wife and kids.

Jane Arko-Tharkor is a Director of the Group, she has worked in the Financial Services industry as Compliance Professional for over 14 years providing advice on Regulatory Compliance, Risks and AML.
​
She is passionate about nurturing projects from inception to completion.
​
Jane is the administration lead for the Group’s construction projects.
